Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR) Workshop!
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! Fill out form below.
The Training Institute for Gender, Relationships, Identity, and Sexuality (TIGRIS) will be hosting Dr. Roz Dischiavo for a full TWO DAY Sex Attitude and Reassessment (SAR) workshop. The professional SAR is an interactive seminar that uses lecture, documentary media, experiential methods, activities, and small group discussions designed to introduce participants to a broad range of human sexual behavior. The objective of a SAR is to expose participants to a broad range of sexual behaviors, orientations and identities for the purpose of professional growth as a clinician, and to create greater comfort and ease when dealing with sexual issues.
The SAR experience is a personalized event that can help anyone in the sexual or mental health field understand sexual attitudes, values, and beliefs, but especially psychotherapists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, marriage and family therapists, and mental health counselors. Physicians, educators and social service practitioners will all find this workshop personally enlightening and professionally beneficial in their work with diverse communities. Areas covered include various sexual orientations (i.e. pansexuality, asexuality, gay/lesbian, etc.), gender identities (i.e. trans*/genderqueer), alternative sexual expressions such as consensual non-monogamy and sexual power exchange, issues with aging and sexuality, and sex & disability.
